The Position

St John of God Geelong Hospital cares for our community through our dedicated team of medical specialists and experienced caregivers.

We have multiple opportunities in our busy hospital kitchen for talented hospitality all-rounder’s to join our friendly and efficient catering team as Food Service Assistants.

Are you a team player with a passion for great food and providing excellent customer service?

The ability to multi-task and think on your feet while ensuring our patrons are treated to a high standard of hospitality and service is vital to these busy positions. While not essential, previous experience in kitchen food services would be considered highly advantageous.

Applicants with hospital based experience who hold Certificates I and/or II in Food Handling will be highly regarded.

These are casual positions working a variety of morning & afternoon shifts across a 7 day roster.

The Successful Candidates Will Have

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
  • Food preparation experience.
  • Understanding and Commitment to the Food Handler Agreement in accordance with Health Regulations
  • Experience within food service environment.
  • Ability to work as a team member with excellent work ethics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work extra shifts or different shifts if required
